To maximise use of prison labour and prepare plans for expansion of prison industries
The majority of the recommendations and conclusions in the Collinson Report have been approved in principle with the remainder under further examination. Post for General Manager, Prison Industries,has been approved and an offer of appointment is about to be made. CSB is processing proposals for appointment of key staff.
Submit proposals now with CSB to ESC for key staff. Steering Group to consider implementation of recomm- endations. Appointment of GM expected about 1.9.77.
