modular courses has been introduced. The programme
will be developed to meet management training needs as
they are identified in the survey mentioned above.

Widows' and Children's Pension Scheme
The remaining outstanding problems were resolved
by the end of September and the Bill, with amendments, has
been re-submitted to Executive Council for consideration
on 1st November 1977. If approved, the Bill as amended
will be published and then introduced into Legislative
Council later in November. The proposed implementation
date is still 1st January 1978.

Agreement with British Airways
Since the last report, British Airways in August
suggested a meeting in Hong Kong in October. In our reply,
we asked for new proposals designed to meet our requirements
as a basis for discussion. No new proposals have been
received but a meeting with the Assistant General Manager
Eastern Division (East) of British Airways will be held
in Hong Kong on 11th November 1977.
