ACCOMMODATION FOR HONG KONG AND GENERAL DEPARTMENT
1. Thank you for your minute of 3 March.
2. I have only just noticed that the proposed accommodation plan which you provided me with earlier this week leaves K253 outside HKGD orbit when in fact Mr Harrington indicated to Mr Levoir and myself that this room would be allocated to HKGD.
3. We will have to battle on with ASD about the need to provide

a room of adequate size to accommodate the Staffing Section (ie, 1 DS 9 + 2 DS 10 + equipment). As I have previously minuted the present system of the Registry Clerk being separate to the DS 9 and other DS 10 is quite unsatisfactory and the Inspectors were quick to comment on this. We must take the opportunity of the move to obtain sufficient accommodation for them and I would like Mr J Hall and Mrs Gregory (Head of Staffing Section) to discuss this with you and I hope a convenient time to do so could be found early next week. Somehow we will have to solve the problem.
4. Mr Lewis has put forward a Submission today proposing that GGD should dissolve from Monday, 28 March.
