69. KAY and YUEN were jointly charged with 2 counts of Possession Of Dangerous Drugs For The Purpose Of Unlawful Trafficking. KAY pleaded guilty to both counts and was sentenced to 6 years' imprisonment on each charge, sentences to run concurrently. A nolle prosequi was entered against YUEN and she was acquitted.

70. Between 25th May and 20th June, 1976, Narcotics Bureau officers arrested 13 people suspected to have been involved in the storage and distribution of approximately 672 kilogrammes of heroin between 1968 and 1975. The following have all been charged with Conspiracy To Traffic In A Dangerous Drug and have been committed to stand trial in the Supreme Court:

Chinese male LAM Pui-ching (2651/3099/7230). Chinese male CHAN Chi-keung (7115/1807/1730). Chinese male SHEK Chi-wing (4258/1807/2837). Chinese male Ma Lau-chai (7456/3177/0098). Thai male Viroj Boosarawong.
71. Chinese male MA Lau-chai is already awaiting trial on a charge of Conspiracy to Manufac- ture A Dangerous Drug (paragraphs 19 to 21 refer).
