39. On 2nd April, 1976, Thai male Pornchai SAE EAR arrived at Hong Kong Airport from Bangkok. During a routine baggage examination a strong odour of decayed animal carcase aroused the suspicion of Preventive Service officers. The officers discovered 1.2686 kilogrammes of a mixture containing 1.1467 kilogrammes of a salt of morphine concealed inside the abdominal cavities of 3 cooked geese.
SAE EAR was arrested and charged with Trafficking In A Dangerous Drug. He is awaiting trial.
