29. On 23rd January, 1976, Preventive Service officers at Hong Kong Airport examined 6 packages of jade which had arrived from Bangkok the previous day. The examination revealed 5 blocks comprising 7.6818 kilogrammes of a mixture containing 5.9787 kilogrammes of a salt of morphine concealed in two pieces of imitation jade. The consignee, Chinese male KWAN Ping-pong (7070/1627/6721), and Chinese male KONG Ching (3068/3237) were arrested and jointly charged with Trafficking In A Dangerous Drug. The case is pending trial.
