1. I only had the briefest opportunity to discuss this subject.
with the Minister of State before he left to catch his train for North Wales.
2. Lord Goronwy-Roherts thought there was clearly no possibility of his being able to see journalists today. He doubted whether in any event it would be desirable for him to see the journalist at all. In his view, if there was a case for an Insight team being received in the FCO, they might well be seen by officials. But he would probably wish to consider the case more carefully next week, assuming the Sunday Times are still interested.
