Courts have in certain circumstances or definitively
allowed evidence to be called in rebuttal to show
physical or mental defect of any witness which might go to root of credibility. As to mental defects this has always been dealt with on psychiatric evidence - not the sort of application being made to our honour.
As to recall of Cheng Cheuk Fun if there are proper grounds for doing so shall assist in calling him.
