How are the deposits and withdrawals from savings account or current accounts recorded in the computer?
In our branch office the machines handled by teller are directly
connected to the computer. when deposit or withdrawal are made
then the teller manipulates the machine and records would be put
in the computer. This is called on line transaction.
The same
thing applies to current account section but system is called off
line transactions.

The difference is data are not fed into computer right away officer would accumulate all the data and present them to computer
later at the end of the day.
