I did not say it was no longer in existence. It could not be filed.
Normally it would be filed by recipients and
kept in their Safe or Confidential Registry.
Would it be kept in CID Registry?
Recipient would keep it in his file or destroy it according
to instructions. It would have been destroyed as information obtained would not be of further need.
Is there any record of what happened to that document?

Could you tell us if in your experience anonymous letters are frequently received by Police Force against persons? This is not uncommon.
If there was a memorandum or allegation can you tell us if disciplinary proceedings were taken against Lau as a result of those allegations?
Not to my knowledge.
Any criminal proceedings taken against him as a result of same memorandum?
No.
Normal procedure was followed secret memorandum would be destroyed?
It would be destroyed. Speaking of this memorandum it would no longer be kept as person is no longer a member of Police Force.
