Is it correct that there was also a letter of complaint eventually passed on to Police Force concerning Lau Cheong Wa and a possible connection with Ng Sik Ho?
There was a letter and that letter is contained in-a file
which exists.
Are you aware of date of that lotter?
No.
If a memo is circulated to officers of a certain rank
concerning a matter of this nature would that memo also
be circulated to officers of ICAC of equivalent rank? It certainly would have been when Anti-corruption office
was part of Police Force at which time it was headed by
Assistant Commissioner of Police.
Is it correct that when officers of Police Force were
seconded to ICAC that they retain their police rank?
Yes. They did and still do.
And therefore if on distribution list, superintendent and
above, there were police officers holding that rank or
higher rank seconded to ICAC this memo would be known to
them?
"
Type of memo of which we are speaking on a need to know"
basis, all officers of a particular rank would not have
seen it
it would only be sent to those who are concerned.
