156.

Did you not inform ICAC officers that your duties in Kowloon City consisted of telephone answering only?

I can't remember.

Would you like to refresh your memory as to what you said?

I remember when I was in Kowloon City I received monies

collected from Ah Luk.

You are being asked if you like to refresh your memory? I do not understand you.

We now know you took part in many activities in Kowloon City?

I helped him by banking money.

Previously you said you only answered telephone. These 2 statements can't be true?

Putting money in the bank occurred only once in one or two days whereas answering telephone took place every day.

You say both these statements can be true?

I did both.

Why when you did both you previously stated you only answered telephone?

I did not lie.

Are you saying what you told us on oath in this Court and what you told ICAC officers previously that your only duty was answering telephone was true?

I was not very clear of the question when officer asked me what I did most that period I said most of the time I answered telophone.

What you are saying is you never said that you only answered

telephone, you mostly answered telephone?

That is correct.

Both in Court and to ICAC officers?

Correct.

So that both ICAC officer recording your statement and the interpreter in Court made the same mistake?

Not so.

How did mostly" came to be written down as "only"?

I am not familiar with the procedure. This is 1st occasion

I have come to Court to give evidence after all these years I have come to Hong Kong.
