I am Senior Treasury Accountant in Establishment Branch of Treasury. From records kept in the Department the official emoluments from 1952 to 31/7/65 of Mr. C.J.M. Cunningham are as shown in the chart. (Document shown to witness) This is chart I prepared. (Mr. Hampton: Object to production of document. Document must be relevant.) (Kr. Adams: Relevance of this is that it shows official
emoluments of 1st Accused while he had been in Hong Kong Police Force to connect one of the inquiries to show he received certain drafts to
his bank account in excess of his official emoluments and they did
not come from bank account where his emoluments are banked. They have we allege come from corruption moneys. Drafts are not part of his official emoluments.)
(Mr. Hampton: What my learned friend's case is surely to prove that 1st Accused received drafts of money in excess of his official
emoluments. This would involve evidence that he has committed an
offence with which he has not been charged. Section 10 of Prevention
of Bribery Ordinance. Any evidence tending to show that a person
has been convicted of a crime is objectionable and inadmissible.)

For period 11.6.52 to 31.3.55 salary was paid in cash to Commissioner of Police from 1/9/55 to 31.1.56 his salary was paid to his current account in Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank. After that his salary was paid to Martin's Bank, Queen's Park Branch, Manchester, through Crown agents from 1.2.56 to 31.8.56. From 1.9.56 to 31.10.56 his salary was again paid in cash through Commissioner of Police. From 1/11/56 to 31/3/59 his salary was paid to his current account with Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank. From 1/4/59 to 30/9/60 his salary was paid to current account in Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank 03-170-224. From October 1960 his salary was paid in cash through Commissioner of Police. 1/11/60 to 31/7/69 his salary was paid to his current account in Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank account 03-170-224. From 1/8/69 up to 28/2/75
his salary was paid to his current account in Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank 02-042810-001. From 1/3/75 up to 31/7/75 his salary was paid
in cash through Commissioner of Police.
