Thank you for your letter of 12 September about George William Puttock and Donald David Bassett who are at present serving sentences of life imprisonment in Hong King.
We are prepared to accept both men on permanent transfer to the United Kingdom under the provisions of Section 2(b) of the Colonial Prisoners Removal Act 1884.
It would be appreciated if you would supply, in due course, copies of the necessary removal orders and information regarding the time and point of their arrival in the United Kingdom so that arrangements can be made for their reception.
