REMOVAL OF FRISONERS BASSETT AND PUTTOCK FROM HONG KONG TO THE UK UNDER THE COLONIAL PRISONERS' REMOVAL ACT 1884

**** ་ ་ས ་་- ་

1.

Please refer to your letters of 23 September and 21 October, 1977.

I am sorry for the delay in replying to the former.

2. We have no objection to the proposal that Trooper Bassett and Gunner Puttock should be transferred to a Home Office Prison.

3. I presume that if the Hong Kong Civil Administration have any difficulties in providing suitable personnel to escort the prisoners to the UK that they will arrange with the Military Authorities in Hong Kong to undertake this task, in accordance with the current agree- ment.

Your sincerely

Jeanette Dola.
