Economic and Social Council of United Nations' Intergovernmental Working Group on Corrupt Practices
21/4
Press Release TNC/41 of 10th February from the United Nations mentioned the possibility of the third session of the Ad Hoc Intergovernmental Working Group on the Problem of Corruption being moved from 28th March - 8th April to 2nd - 6th May and I shall be grateful if you will let me know whether the third session has, in fact, been postponed in this way.
As I explained in my letter of 7th March, the Independent Commission Against Corruption would like to receive some documents on the proceedings at the first two meetings of the Working Group so that we can consider the possibility of sending some comments to the UK observers for consideration by the Working Group. Clearly, this will be impossible if the third session took place as scheduled but it may still be possible if the third session has been postponed and we receive the documents we have requested in the next few days.
I am grateful for your assistance in this matter and I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely,
Jeffrey & Ridge
(J.J. Ridge)
for Commissioner of the
Independent Commission Against Corruption
