Line to Take
CONFIDENTIAL
7.
Lord Goronwy-Roberts might:
8.
(a) ask Mr Cater for an assessment of the ICAC's progress and for his latest estimate of how much time he considers the Commission will need to get on top of corruption;
(b) express his concern at reports that continue to appear about the ICAC's investigatory methods; and
(c) enquire whether Mr Cater thinks there is scope for some kind of appeal and review body to deal with complaints about
the ICAC.
Mr Cater's call is more in the nature of a courtesy call than an official interview. I do not suggest that I be present at the
Non meeting unless Lord Goronwy-Roberts wishes me to.
