Summary Offences Ordinance (Exemption from Section 13)
Order 1975
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 13(4) of the
Summary Offences Ordinance, the Governor in Council has made the
following order :-

Exemption from section 13 (Cap. 228).
Schedule.
1. This order may be cited as the Summary Offences Ordinance
(Exemption from Section 13) Order 1975.
2. (1) Subject to paragraph (2), section 13 of the Ordinance
shall not apply to any building or construction works within the
area specified in the Schedule between the date of the publication
of this order in the Gazette and 31st December 1976
(2) The exemption granted in paragraph (1) is granted subject
to the conditions
(a) that no piling works of any sort shall be carried out
within any such area between the hours of 8.00 p.m.
and 6.00 a.m. or on any public holiday;
(b) that the Director of Public Works may order work to be.
stopped or order such reasonable measures as from time
to time he may deem appropriate or necessary if he considers
that the noise emanating from that area and created by the
works is causing unnecessary disturbance and annoyance to
the public.
