ANNEX A TO XCR(77)146
Amend the Summary Offences Ordinance.
Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the
advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
Short title
and
commence- ment.
1 (1) This Ordinance may be cited as the
Summary Offences (Amendment) (No. 2) Ordinance 1977.
(2) Sections 3 and 4 shall come into operation
on the 1st July 1979.
Repeal and replacement
of
2. Section 6 of the principal Ordinance is
repealed and replaced by the following -
section 6.
(Cap. 228.)
"Street cries for buying or selling; use of
loud speakers etc.
6. (1) Any person who uses or
utters cries for the purpose of buying
or selling any article whatsoever, or
who makes or causes to be made any
noise whatsoever with the object of
disposing of or attracting attention
to any goods, wares or trade shall be
liable
(a) to a fine of $200; or
(b) where such cries or noises
are made through the use of
any loud speaker or megaphone
