Is for à further period of one month. Section 13(4) of the Ordinance

enables the Governor in Council to exempt such districts or areas as he may specify by order published in the Gazette. Such an order is therefore now sought in respect of earthmoving and construction work in the area specified in the order at Annex from 29th April to 28th June 1977. While this remedial work is to be completed during May, a two-month period of exemption is now sought, in order that a further submission to this Council would not be necessary in the event, albeit unlikely, of a delay to the work through unforeseen circumstances,

No complaints have been received during the two months in which night working has been in progress. The Commissioner of Police and the City District Officer, Kwun Tong have advised that residents of the area are unlikely to complain since the need for this work to be undertaken at the earliest possible time is appreciated in the area.
