after section 26 the following new
sections
"Punishment
of person begging alms. /cf. 1824 c.83, s.37
26A. Any person who
wanders abroad, or places
himself or herself in any
public place, street or
waterway to beg or gather
alms, or auses or procures
or encourages any child or
children so to do, commits
an offence and is liable
on conviction
(a)
for a first or
second offence,
to a fine of five
hundred dollars
