$17 per square foot in cases where land is surrendered for cash prior to reversion to the Crown. If the owners accept the exchange offer as is likely, the amount of cash payable will be reduced accordingly.

Honourable Members will be asked to advise, under section 3 of the Crown Lands Resumption Ordinance (Chapter 124), whether the resumption of the lots listed at Annex B is required for a public purpose, namely the construction of a trunk sewer from Area 9 to Pillar Point, Tuen Mun New Town, Tuen Mun, New Territories.
(The District Officer, Tuen Mun (Mr Peter NG Kwok-tai) will attend before the Council for the discussion of this item).
