Cash compensation is paid for the market value of crops and livestock.

Squatter shops receive cash compensation up to a value of $20,000 based on floor area. This may only be a small proportion of the value of the shop and turnover, though temporary and built on agricultural or Crown land.

Squatter factories receive either cash compensation or space in a Housing Department flatted factory.

Grave owners receive cash compensation and a resite if the grave is owned by an indigenous villager.
