I am the very first Hungarian citizen who has ever applied for a Hong Kong tourist visa and the first one to see his visa application rejected by the Hong Kong Immigration Authorities.
Being an eccentric I could always say I want to go to Hong Kong becouse it is there, but I want to motivate my intention by reaffirming to you too, that I am fascinated by the East / I have already been in Mongolia and China in that region /, I like the Chinese food it is as good as the Hungarian food/, and as far as I can afford it I want to enrich my little collection of Chinese objects of art. I am ready to declare that I do not want to ask political or any other form of asylum in Hong Kong and I will not engage in any subversive activities against Britain, Hong Kong, or China. / I have not done so in the U.K., or seve- ral other countries I have visited as a tourist or in official capacity./

I am not a millionaire,but I shall be able to spend a week in Hong Kong without applying for welfare aide, and I am in possession of every necessary exit permits of the Hungarian authorities.
Having enumerated every detail concerning my little tourist trip to Hong Kong so close to my heart I should like to ask you Dr.Owen to help me, and to instruct the Hong Kong Im- migration Authorities to issue my tourist visa so that I could. spend about a week in Hong Kong in November-December this year.
