During June 689 persons (compared with 614 last month) registered with the Registration of Persons Office, claiming to have entered Hong Kong illegally from various sources. figure includes 570 persons (compared with 499 last month) claiming to have come from China.

Since 1962, the Registration of Persons Office has registered a total of 316,893 persons who claimed to have entered Hong Kong illegally from various sources, primarily from China. The cumulative total of such registrations since January 1968 is 125,730.
