Petitioner was also awarded with a letter of appreciation

by the Commissioner of Police on the 23rd day of October

1969, (a copy of the said letter of appreciation is enclosed

herewith for Your Excellency's kind perusal and marked

exhibit "LT-2").

Your Petitioner's wife is now working as a nurse

in a hospital by the name of Y. Vien Sung Chinh in Saigon,

Vietnam.

Your Petitioner is now 40 years old and is deeply

attached to his wife and is unable to bear the loneliness

in Hong Kong without the companionship

of his wife.

Your Petitioner and his wife are simple people

with no great ambition and only hope that they could live

together peacefully in Hong Kong leading a simple life

and Your Petitioner's wife is now in Vietnam alone and is

also greatly depressed. The health and happiness of Your

Petitioner's wife mean a great deal to Your Petitioner.

Your Petitoner therefore humbly pray that Your

Excellency will allow Your Petitioner's wife to come to

this Colony otherwise it would render continous separation

to Your Petitioner from his wife and that it would also

inevitably cause untold misery and anguish to a lonely

woman and immense unhappiness to an equally lonely man.

Your Petitioner also humbly and fervently prays

that Your Excellency will be moved in mercy and compassion

to rescind the decision made by the Director of Immigration

Department of the 6th day of May 1977 and permit Your

Petitioner's wife to come to this Colony for the purpose
