In December 1976, Your Petitioner was informed by
his wife that their marriage certificate was issued and
the same was mailed to Your Petitioner immediately (copy
of the said marriage certificate and its certified
translation in English language are hereto annexed and
marked exhibit "LT-1").

With such documentary evidence in hand, Your
Petitioner then conveyed the said marriage certificate to
the Immigration Department by a covering letter and he
deeply hoped that it would establish as a concrete proof
of the relationship as husband and wife between Your
Petitioner and his wife.

After various interviews attended by Your
Petitioner at the Immigration Department of Hong Kong and
on the 6th day of May 1977, Your Petitioner was informed
that his application for Madam Huynh Ngoc to come to Hong
Kong was not approved as relationship could not be
established.

Your Petitioner is now in the employment of Hong
Kong Land Company Limited earning a monthly salary of
$1,115.00 and plus year-end bonus which is equivalent to
four months' salary and he was also provided by his employer
with free quarters. Your Petitioner is therefore financially
capable in supporting himself and his wife's living in
Hong Kong.

Your Petitioner has been a law abiding and loyal
citizen of the Colony so far and has won the friendship of
his colleagues and the admiration and approbation of his
employer for his hardwork, loyalty and diligence. Your
