THE UNITED KINGDOM GOVERNMENT'S COMMITMENT TO HONG KONG
1. The ideas put forward in the Green Paper, if adopted, would not indicate any alteration to the UK Government's commitment to the security and prosperity of Hong Kong, which
remains unchanged.
THE CONSTITUTIONAL RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE UK AND HONG KONG
2. The ideas put forward in the Green Paper do not imply any change in the constitutional relationship with Hong Kong.
CONSIDERATION OF REPRESENTATIONS FROM HONG KONG
3. As has already been explained by Mr Right Hon Friend the Secretary of State for the Home Department when introducing the Green Paper, the Government do not intend to introduce early legislation on nationality and before reaching firm conclusions on the suggestions put forward in the Green Paper, they will wish to have the benefit of comments by interested governments, bodies and members of the public.

I am not aware that the Chinese Government have expressed any views on the Green Paper.
