1. As we agreed before I left for my recent visit to Hong Kong, I discussed there the question of Hong Kong reactions to the Green Paper on British Nationality Law. I talked, inter alia, with the Governor, the Secretary for Security and the Directer of Immigration. It was agreed that they would start to draft papers for eventual submission to the British Government on the constitutional aspect of the proposals contained in the Green Paper as they affected Hong Kong and another paper on the political aspects. submit these papers to us in the 7CO in draft.
