Objection Number 4

Copy No ..34.. of 40 Page 3 of 6

This objection is from Messrs M. K. Lam and Company, Solicitors, on behalf of Cham Tam Fat Limited, owners of the first floor premises in the Cheung Fat Industrial Building at 1 to 9 (odd numbers) Hill Road. A copy of the objection letter is attached at Annex E. The grounds of the objection are that the flyover will disturb their enjoy- ment of, and individual proprietary interests in, the premises, obstruct light and air to the building and lower the land value, and cause difficulties for the loading and unloading of goods. As the premises will be situated below the level of the flyover and about 8. 4 metres away from it, the undertaking is unlikely to cause markedly adverse environmental effects. Upon completion of the flyover, that part of Hill Road fronting the premises will be reduced in width and restricted to one-way traffic; access will not, however, be denied.

Objection Number 5

This objection is from Messrs M. K. Lam and Company, Solicitors, on behalf of Yue Tak Construction Company Limited, the owners of the lower ground and ground floor premises in the Cheung Fat Industrial Building at 1 to 9 (odd numbers) Hill Road. A copy of the objection letter is attached at Annex F. The grounds of objection are similar to those in the case of Objection Number 4 and the comments in respect of that objection also apply here.
