The plan zoned this area for open space and roads. use of the old Tsim Sha Tsui Police Station site is at present under consideration in the Town Planning Board.
Detailed costings of preservation of the station building have not been done because, in view of the statutory planning of the area, the problems of its preservation have not been pursued.
It would not be appropriate to supply you with this information for the same reasons as I have explained under (2) above.
As explained above, His Excellency decided under the Antiquities and Monuments Ordinance not to approve the recommendation of the Antiquities Advisory Board that the clock tower and facade should be scheduled as a monument. He did, however, direct that the clock tower, which does not conflict with plans for
