To seek the Chief Secretary's committee's agreement to submitting to Ex.Co. thẻ Green Paper which proposcs a system of town planning and on which a new Town Planning Ordinance will be based.
To complete acquisition of all properties affected within this financial year.
PROGRESS MADE & PRESENT POSITION
Possible resite areas have been identified at Pak Shek Kiu (Cable & Wireless) and at Chung Hom Kok and Round Island. (Ministry of Defence)
The Green Paper was considered by the Chief Secretary's Committee on 25.10.76 and it was decided not to proceed to Ex.Co. on the present basis. Improvement to town planning is to be achieved through amendments to the existing Town Planning Ordinance.
All properties have been acquired either by negotiation or resump- tion. Compensation is still out- standing in 32 cases. The first batch of properties for which settlement could not be reached has been referred to the Lands Tribunal.
NEXT QUARTER TARGETS
Confirm availabilit of Pak Shek Kiu site seek L.D.P.C. approval to the resites and commence negotiations with Cable & Wireless and. the M. of D.
Consider, in consultation with D.P.W. what amend- ments are to be introduced to the Town Planning Ordinance.

Conduct further negotiations on compensation. Refer cases not settled to the Lands Tribunal. Complet the compensation procedure through the Lands Tribunal and other procedures under the Lands
Tribunal Ordinance.
