To decide whether to have a ropeway link between Central and Aberdeen.

(b) This Branch chaired a meeting on 13.9.76 with the Project Manager Tuen Mun, K.C.R., C. for T. and P.G.H.E. at which it was decided to employ consultants to study an internal public transport system for Tuen Mun. A Working Group was established to take this further.

(a) The Town Planning Office is considering

the proposed alignment of the link and expects to report shortly;

(b) The lengthy process of preparing

comprehensive regulations under the Safety Ordinance 1976 will be done in stages and, in view of the imminent opening of Ocean Park, drafting

priority will be given to the Operation and Maintenance Regulations.

Draft a brief for thep study and a letter invitation to selected consultants.

A Pier Sub-Committee reported on priorities Go to T.A.C.

for pier development over the next ten years. This report will be considered by

the Standing Committee on Waterborne Transport, then submitted to this Branch. and to T.A.C.
