III)
PURPOSE
To phase the acceptance of land surrendered by the Military under the Defence
The main Coot greenent. agreed releases are
PROGRESS MADE & PRESENT POSITION
(a) Lyemun Barracks (Stage 1) Camp
comprising some 133 acres was handed over on 6th January 1977;
(b) Investigations are being conducted
into the proposed release of the remaining parts of Lyenun Barracks (Stage II) and Sham Shui Po Camp (Stage III) not included in the Defence Costs Agreement;
It has been agreed that the following facilities shall be located in Camp 3, Argyle Street :-

of Lyonun Barracks (Stage I) and
allocation to the Urban Council for a public park.
(b) Determine terms for
further releases and decide whether
agreement should be made to acquire
additional military land.
