To provide a phased programme for major development projects in the Aberdeen area and to monitor their All implementation. major projects to be completed by 1985 and the p Lei Chau bridge to be completed by April 1979.
To establish and follow a sequence of action loading to a decision by December 1977 on whether a feasibility study for an additional desalt- ing plant should be undertaken and, by 1979, whether tenders for construction
should be called.
The
The Tin Wan licensed area extension for 712 people has been completed. The ip Lei Chau Licensed area for 1,840 people has also been completed. clearance of the Aberdeen tunnel approaches has been completed and the clearance of the games hall area is scheduled for September 1977. Completion of Phase I of the Ap Lei Chau Housing estate is planned for 1979/80 and Phase II in 1980/81. Wah Fu estate extension is scheduled for completion in February 1978. No boatyards will be affected by the Ap Lei Chau bridge. Pre-qualification procedures for the bridge contract are in hand.
The
Approval for the consultancy on joint production has been obtained. The report on Phase I of the study (i.e. feasibility of joint production) is expected to be completed in July 1977.
