NEXT QUARTER TARGETS
Detailed proposals made by the consultants have been discussed during the consultants' visit to Hong Kong and advice is being given by EPCOM sub-committees and the Government departments involved! The consultants are to submit their final report in July.
The preferred candidate for the post of Environmental Protection Adviser has now accepted appointment to the post and he will arrive in Hong Kong in July. His first tasks will be :-
(i) to recruit the four

Environmental Protection Officers to staff his unit; and
to advise upon the adoption of recommendations set out in the consultants' final report.

Liaise with the consultants over
production of their final report prior to its production in July 1977.
Make working
arrangements for
the establishment of the Environ- mental Protection Unit in preparation
for the arrival of the Environmental
Protection Adviser in July 1977.
