Extension to the Modified Initial System of the Mass Tran. it Railway

To study the practical implications of constructing extensions to the Modified Initial Systems and to facilitate these in conjunc- tion with policy decisions on such extensions.
(a)
The Study Group, chaired by DS(E)1 has met regularly to consider practical issues including location of a depot for the extension and addition-- al Government resource requirements.
(b) ExCo approved the proposal to
extend the Modified Initial System to Tsuen Wan West on 19th July 1977.
(a) Ensure early
submission of ESC paper for additional
Government staff. (b) Reach a decision on the depot.
(c) Establish co-
ordinating machinery to
ensure efficient Government input into implementa- tion of the extension.
