TURNER STUDY
1. Please refer to your letter of 29 June addressed to John Stewart.
2. I enclose a copy of a letter and claim from Professor Turner in respect of his visit to London. I am arranging for payment of this amount to be made here but in order that you and your accountants will have a full picture of payments I think you should have this.
3. I took the point in paragraph 3 of your letter that your Treasury is not familiar with HMG practices. I had assumed, however, that the amounts you would pay Dr Fosh would be based on the subsistence, etc. normally paid to Hong Kong Government officers when visiting London.
