Harry Hurst has passed to me your letter of 11 March.

First, we do not keep a record of unclassified packages sent through the Bag. All I can say is that, whatever packages were received from Dr Fosh were sent on to you and there is no likelihood of their being lost between this Office and our Consulate in Sydney.

Second, I am sending a copy of the finished version of your Interim Report to Professor Dudley Jackson as requested.

By the time you receive this John Stewart will have spoken to you about payments due in respect of the first stage. afraid that not all the items you list in the attachment to your letter of 2 March can be paid, but you should soon receive a cheque for something over £1,000. Dr Fosh should also shortly receive a cheque for something over £700. I am awaiting details of the checks being made by accountants on your claim and I shall write to you further when I have received them.
