Would you please refer to your minute of 7 April on the above study.
2. As I understand it Mr Fry indicated to you that there would be no problem over the availability of money should a case for our further assistance be established. He did not at that stage agree to provide the money. However I further understand that in a subsequent conversation between Mr Stewart and Mr Fry Mr Stewart indicated his view that the Government of Hong Kong should pay for the second stage of the study. We have since been awaiting confirmation of this position and for this reason have so far taken no further action on your minute.
3. I will be grateful if you would now confirm that no further assistance is required from ODM for the study.
