I am writing to acknowledge your letter of 8 January addressed to John Stewart who is at present on study leave, and to thank you for your Report on Labour Relations in Hong Kong•
I hope that you will be able to come into the Office next week to see Harry Hurst and also John Stewart to discuss your Report.

On the question of payments due to you and your colleagues I should be grateful if you would let me have a statement showing how much money you consider is oved to you, Professor Hart and Dr Fosh. For the purpose of calculating subsistence due to yourself and your collearves whilst in Hong Kong it will, of course, be necessary to show 'the dates when each of you was there.
You will, I know, appreciate that it may take some time for the accounts people in the Ilinistry of Overseas Development to check your account and pay any monies outstanding, but Ï can assure you that they will deal with this expeditiously.
I look forward very much to meeting you.
