Notes on Occupied Buildings which are known to exceed height limits
It is believed that about 31 buildings in the Kowloon Walled City exceed the height limits to a greater or lesser extent. This paper attempts to provide some basic information about 13 of the occupied buildings which are known to exceed the height levels permitted by at least one storey and to use this information to illustrate the problems which Government will face should a decision be taken to reduce their height to the maximum per- mitted by the Airport (Control of Obstructions) Ordinance.,
Estimated Size of the Problem.

Based on discreet observations made by CDQ staff during household visits which were carried out in the course of a clean-up exercise in August 1975 and subsequent informal sounding out of contacts certain particulars of the buildings concerned have been collected.
