the Hong Kong Authorities require the assistance of this Department and/or the UKAEA to act as their advisors on the necessary safety assessment of the vessel and port entry arrangements we are of course willing to do what we can but, I must emphasise at this very early stage that it would certainly stretch our resources and also that the appropriate fees could be payable according to the extent that help was needed.
Finally, on the question of timing, our contacts with the Germans in IMCO suggest that a visit by the OTTO HAHN to Hong Kong could not be fitted in to the vessel's programme before the end of the year.
