LINE TO TAKE
The Prime Minister might wish:-
(i) to express his personal interest in the Hong Kong
power station project and in the possibility of
Chinese supplies of coal for it an -the station.
(ii) Refer to the meeting between the Minister for
Foreign Trade and the Secretary of State for
Industry on Tuesday 29 November. (Details will be
sent to No 10 immediately after that meeting.)
(iii) Express the hope that advantage can be taken
of the opportunity to increase trade between
China, Hong Kong and the UK and that the ties between
the three countries would be strengthened as a
result.
