HONG KONG POWER STATION PROJECT
I am sorry I have not circulated before now a copy of Mr Lippitt's letter of 18 November to Sir Lawrence Kadoorie, which accompanied revised technical proposals which GEC had compiled. The main purpose of the letter was to inform Sir Lawrence that as a result of our efforts with shipping companies (and further refinement by the contractors of the material being transported) we had secured a 40% reduction in the freight rates applicable to this contract.
