1. CLIENT WISHES OFFER TO INCLUDE DESIGN AND SUPPLY H.V EQUIPMENT AS FOLLOWS TO CONNECT PROPOSED POWER STATION TO EXISTING SYSTEM. LONG TERM REQUIREMENTS TO TAKE OUTPUT A STATION 4 X 350MW AND B STATION 4 X 500 MW FIRST SET COMMISSIONING EARLY 1982 BUT

LINES REQUIRED FEB 1981 FOR COMMISSIONING SUPPLIES AT 132KV. OPERATING VOLTAGE PROBABLY 400KV. TUNNEL SEEMS UNLIKELY AND NO

IMMEDIATE STUDY REQUIRED.

2. I SHALL REQUIRE INFORMATION BY MONDAY 25 JULY ON THE FOLLOWING:-

(A) OVERHEAD LINES.

TWO DOUBLE CIRCUITS EACH TO TAKE FULL DEVELOPMENT OUTPUT. SEA CROSSINGS REQUIRED AND GENERAL DESIGN PARAMETERS THUS.

(1) TEMPERATURE AND WIND AS SHATIN HAMMER HILL.

(2) SPARES OF CROSSINGS A1.7KM B 1.1 KM.

(3) NAVIGATION CLEARANCE 200 FEET.

(4) TOWER SETTING HEIGHTS FOR BOTH CROSSINGS ASSUME ONE

END SEA LEVEL AND OTHER AT PLUS 150 FEET.

(5) ASSUME ROCK FOR FOUNDATIONS WITH HALF SUITABLE ROCK

ANCCHORS.

(6) ANCHMR TOWERS FOUNDED AT CROSSING TOWER LEVEL

ONE END AND AT OTHER ROCK RISES 45 DEGREES BEHIND TOWER.
