We have discussed the advisability of bringing the CEGB in to discussions, and your minute of 26 May and its enclosure confirm my feeling that it is important to keep the CEGB informed of what is going on, particularly if we shall be looking to them to provide expertise, if not as project managers, then as consultants to the project managers. Until we have consulted them more formally, it would of course be wrong to commit them to any particular role. Certainly, it is highly dubious that they would wish to become a shareholder in ABC Limited as para (1) of the draft telex suggests that they might.
As I mentioned, I have discussed the possibility of CEGB involvement in very general terms with the Deputy Chairman, who said that the Board would be ready to give positive consideration to any proposal which might be made in relation to project management.
