1. Products originating in Hong Kong for export to the Community in accordance with the arrangements established by this Agreement shall be accompanied by a certificata of Hong Kang origin confopuing to the podel

annexed to this Protocol.

2. The certificate of Hong Kong.origin shall be issued by the competent governm

mental authorities of Hong Kong 17 the products in question can be considered products originating in Hong Kong within the meaning of the rolovant

rules in force in the Community.

3. In issuing such a certificate, the competent governmental authorities of Hong Kong may epply rules for determining origin shat are mora stringent

than the rolovang rules in force in the Cosmunity.

Article 9

Subsequent verification of certificates of origin shall be carried out

at random, or whenever the competent Community authorities have reasonable

doubt as to the authenticity of the certificate or au to the accuracy of the

information regarding the true origin of the producty in question.

In such cases the competent Community authorities shall return

the certificate of origin to the competent authorities in Hong Kong, giving, Where appropriate, the reasons for an enquiry. If an invoice has been submitted, such invoice or a copy thereof shall be attached

to the certificate. The competent Community authorities shall also forward any information that has been obtained suggesting that the particulars

given on the said certificate ere inaccurate.

The results of the subsequent verifications carried out in accordance

with paragraph 1 above shall be conqunicated to the coupetent Community ..

authorities within three months if possible.
