Using Hong Kong 1976 trade statistics I have investigated the importance of Sweden to Hong Kong as a market for textiles.

While total exports rose by 50%, textiles exports rose by only 15%. Therefore textiles are playing a less important role in Hong Kong's trade with Sweden.
3. These items make up a little over half of textiles exports to Sweden. These, together with 1976 values in HK$m. are:

4. There is therefore a different mix from the EEC sensitive products and none of the categories in this list are particularly important in value terms compared to Hong Kong's total exports.

For comparison, total Hong Kong textile exports to the EEC in 1976 were 603.0 HK$m. Exports to Sweden are only 5.4% of that.
