organisation to operate in accordance with approved budgets. Although
there have been problems over the way in which this requirement has been
followed in previous years, the Society has now taken steps which have
led to a considerable improvement in controlling its activities in
accordance with approved budgets.

In april 1976, Finance Branch conducted an inspection of the
facilities and management of the Society. The inspection has now been
completed and recommendations relating to a substantial reduction in staff

It is envisaged that improvements will be introduced in stages and that
regular reviews will be made in the light of experience.
